Despite her young age, Montreal singer Nikki Yanofsky has carved out an impressive career since her debut at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2006. She contributed vocals to the recording We All Love Ella: Celebrating the First Lady of Song, alongside Diana Krall and Natalie Cole, in addition to working with Herbie Hancock and appearing on stage with Oliver Jones and Wyclef Jean.
She also devotes much of her time to several charities. In 2008, she released her first live album, Ella… of Thee I Swing, which earned her two Juno nominations as well as the title of Favourite Jazz Artist at the 2009 Canadian Independent Music Awards. In the spring of 2010, the singer released her first studio effort, Nikki.
